My Muse

One thing I often enjoy pondering over, is if my muse were peronofied what would it look like?
Though I use to entertian the idea that I would have a male muse, because of the fact that a lot of my poetry for some reason, unless it is about my personal emotions, or my personal experinces, seems to be from the persepctive of a male narrriator and point of view, though it is not something intentional but when I sit down to write that is just what happens. Also a lot of my stories seem to focusu on predominantely male main charachters.
Then again that could just be becasue I have always gotten along better with the opposisite sex and most my friends are and have always been male, and often times I just do not get females and do not fit in with them and tend to often be enjoyed by the fellow memebers of my gender.
And I have entertained the idea the my muse must certiantly be of a dark and dreary nature. I could see my muse being of the likes of Poe's Raven.
But I also tend to write in a very romantic and classic style. I do not often wrtie truly contempary poetry, so I have fasioned myself having a more traditional Greek styled muse, because of my long withstanding love with all things past. And with my love affair with Sappho I could imagine that her ghostly essence serves as my muse.
