i have a friend who has been bugging me for months now whether i have begun my christmas shopping. i never start till well after thanksgiving...WELL after.

i would love to do something different for thanksgiving this year. i thought about flying to california to be with my parents but that's not really different.
a group i belong to used to do a senior citizen's thanksgiving dinner on the big day itself. it was for those who had no family to be with and we'd serve at 11 and play corn games afterwards and be all cleaned up by 2 or 3 and heading home to have dinner with our own families. it was always a lot of fun.
