I've been thinking that I'll change things up a bit today. Here are some pictures of my two dogs. They're my other children, so they deserve a chance to be shown off as well:)

Here's Keeghan, he is about 90 pounds

and here is Ash who is only 30 pounds at his heaviest. His weight goes up and down a bit.

They're both rescue jobs. Ash was given to us after having been an abused dog. I don't know what was done to him exactly, but we think he has been teased with food and then hit for taking it. I've had him for over two years now, and even though he trusted me it has only been the last six to nine months that he has taken treats from my hand. We found Keeghan with an organization here called SPOT. They were kind enough to allow us to adopt such a large dog when no one else would even give us a chance. The short story is that Ash became severly depressed and stopped eating after I gave birth to my daughter so we decided to find him a friend to keep him company and cheer him. With small children no one was willing to allow us to adopt a dog until we came across SPOT. Keeghan had been surrendered when the family who had adopted him from the same organization as a puppy decided to downsize there home and household. He still behaves as if we are going to dump him as well whenever he misbehaves. He's been with us for over a year, and I hope that in time he will stop moping around my house for days when he gets in trouble. With the hundreds of dollars in damage he has done to clothing, if we haven't gotten rid of him yet he's just stuck here. We love them both, and they're great with my children. Ash is not as fond of Victoria, but I hope that will change when she is older and more gentle with him. We believe he either has dysplasia or fractures in his hips that haven't healed correctly. This is my leading choice since I can see where it seems his hind paw was broken and didn't heal properly. Regardless, he has a pretty low pain tolerance, so he isn't too fond of the roughness that a baby will dish out. Enjoy the pictures, and I hope you are all having a good day.

Take Care,
Meg

Both your dogs look like characters and are adorable

Both our dogs, Zap (from a puppy and 15 years old) and Onyx (he was downsized like Keeghan) are pound dogs and spoiled rotten. Onyx keeps eating our couch. Ash looks adorable and just keep loving him these beasties are ttender hearted slug a lugs. Onyx replaced Tabatha who died very unexpectedly and we still think of her.

Awh, I wuv doggies! Thanks for sharing. They do have their own personalities, just like people, don't they? I'm sorry your doggies were hit. Cruelity to animals and children is inexcusable (but being cruel to adults is okay - just kidding!). They're so innocent and vulnerable.

I love puppies too! I call everyone's beloved dog a puppy and how wonderful you are to take these two angels with paws and give them a loving home.
