I'm going to be taking some of my pictures to a fair, and just thought I'd share some of my favorites with you. Feel free to criticize! (My cat, Garfield ) (Sea lions!) (Sorry, I can't make this one smaller.) What do you think?
What's to criticize. Their beautiful. Except the one with the butterfly is blurry.
Garfield is cute and reminds me of a much missed Tiger the long suffering one used to dance with and call him Boogie Kitty. I liked the sunset/sunrise photo best.
Not to be particular, but many times there is a rule of threes, that is to say that if you break a photo up by thirds (vertically, horizontally, and or diagonally) you will generate a more aesthetically pleasing picture. Take a look at your pictures and see what you think. What type of symmetry do you see. I see a bisymmetry, or the single object taking up the whole image. This works fine for the image of flowers, but some of the others would perhaps be a little more interesting if you included some environment in them. I think you have a good eye, and wish you the best. Cheers. B
Virgil: Thank you! The picture with the butterfly looked really nice on my camera, but when I got it printed, I was sooooo disappointed. It was even blurrier on the computer. mtpspur: Don't you just loooove cats. Thank you! B-Mental: Thank you too! I've started taking a class, and the teacher is particularly firm on that point, but it's really hard for me. I have a habit of zooming in on things.
Impressive, my dear dork. Just goes to show that all the talent and looks in the family goes to the younger child.
I'm sure.
I like 3, 4, 8, 7, 8 - they're really crisp and the subject of each is right up front. I like your cat too because I just love cats, but the other pics were better as far as picture quality goes in my uneducated opinion.
more pics! more pics!
