In this day and age two weeks is quite generous on the part of our fine medical professions. I swear it's almost an assembly line mentality--no offense intended but trying to agree with you in sympathy. Hope she manages well.

Thanks guys. She's got pain though and not sleeping well. She can't move around in bed to get into a comfortable position.

Glad to hear that she is out. I've been working all weekend, so I'm just getting to this. I second your worries over physical therapy... that doesn't seem like enough time to me. I hope she is in less pain soon, and that she will then be able to sleep better. Your mom is still in my prayers for a quick and easy recovery:) Meg

Virgil, I've found your blog and been reading through your ordeal with your Mom. I know how hard it's been for you, being so far away. But it sounds like she's doing well, and I'm glad. I'm also glad you got to go visit with her and see for yourself how things are. It's always so much better than over the phone. btw, I love the Christmas Poem.

I hope that your mother experiences less and less pain as each day of healing passes by. I also hope that she gets her badly needed rest. I know this was a little while ago, but I hope your mother is doing much better, Virgil. You're a nice person and I don't like seeing nice people get sad. I'm glad she's better, and I hope her physical and emotional health continues to rise.
