Getting a little easier around here:D *edited*

Things in my house are starting to settle down a bit. Most importantly the baby is feeling much better. A few baths seemed to help, but she also seems to be through the worst of the itching. She was only a little grumpy towards the evening today, so it was a marked improvement over yesterday. I'm also feeling better, and my voice had finally returned. Everything else is still being worked out, but it is amazing how much less stressful it all seems when you are not feeling horribly sick:)

Just a brief update tonight, because... well I'm worn out. I'm trying to work on an embroidery project with my sewing machine, and I've also been tinkering with my laptop's programs. I have word on my main computer, but it is an older edition. I just found out that my loading in on my laptop with Vista, I automatically get the newest version of MS Word. This is great news for me because I don't have to stay at the computer in the kitchen now to work on my story. If I want a little alone time, I can take the other one and go sit somewhere else. It is one of those little things that made my mood much better today.

So, I'm off for the night. I just got too mad at my sewing machine because the thread keeps breaking:flare:. I'm going to clean it, oil the gears, and put a new needle on, but that is all for tomorrow. When everything is ready, I'll start to embroider the squares for my aunt again. Maybe they will not look as bad as the one I quit on tonight. I need to get them finished soon, but I'm not up to worrying about it tonight, so I'm off to bed.

Take Care,
Meg

I didn't feel like making a whole new blog entry to add just a couple of things:) First, my sewing machine is working great now, and I'm working away on my aunt's placemats. Even better news, I got an interview with the marketing agency:banana: I'll be interviewing over the phone on Monday, so I hope that all will go well. I really, really want this job, so if I'm lucky I'll be moving in the next month or so. It will mean a longer separation still, but we are alright with the thought. It's a exceptional opportunity, and we'll be so much better off for it.

Meg, I'm glad your daughter is feeling better and you as well. It's so hard to be sick when one of your babies is sick. I know what you've been through.
I am no good at sewing. I can cross stitch and knit, but a sewing machine is beyond me. I have my mothers, my aunts, and my mother-in-laws and they all just sit in the storage shed. I envy anyone who has the nerve to tackle one. Good luck with your projects.

I can sew a strait line, but that is about it. My sewing is mostly limited to making quilts. I've one of those fancy sewing machines that will do the embroidery for you. I put the design in the computer, hoop the fabric with stabalizer, and the machine stitches it out;) I would never be able to embroider anything otherwise:lol:
