Motherhubbard’s internet was down for a few days and she is trying to catch up on school work. A lot of her classes are online and she has some work to do. So, I had the boys, Mason and Max, yesterday. They are so much fun! It’s not like watching other children. They play together and watch cartoons if they interest them. I hear “Watch Granny.” and “Come here Granny” an awful lot, but it’s usually something funny they want to show me. Tonight we’ll have all 5 grandchildren. Poppy is bringing pizza home and Bailey is bringing her new puppy. The noise level will probably increase a little, if that is possible. (I have a pretty noisy house.) They all know that they can get by with a lot while they are here. Chaney and Skyler will play outside after homework, Max and Mason will play with trains and cars, and Bailey, who thinks she’s above the kid stuff, will watch Harry Potter on the computer, hold the puppy, and drink cappuccino. She has had coffee at my house since she was 2 years old. Chaney is queen of her class and will be in a pageant of sorts Friday night. All the queens and kings dress up and parade around the stage and whoever raises the most money for the school wins queen and king of the school for the year. She is excited about it. She has a beautiful pink princess dress and new shoes. Her Mom is going to fix her hair and she’ll be beautiful…well, she’s already as beautiful as an 8 year old, blue eyed blond can be. But she’ll be dressed the part.
Skyler, our 8 year old grandson, was the king of his school 2 years ago. He was very handsome in his suite and patten leather shoes. I am going to go to work late tomorrow night so I can go watch Chaney. Our daughter, Sarah, and Skyler are going to a wedding this weekend. Well, it’s really a vow renewal. The couple has only been married about 7 years. I wonder if Poppy and I need to renew our vows. We’ve been married a little over 33 years and have never renewed them. I didn’t know that they expired. I was thinking that on our 50th anniversary that we’d just have a party and renew our AARP cards, but vow renewal might be in order. It may be something we need to look into.
I posted a short story today. It sort of makes me sick to me stomach to post something.
I hate to appear like an idiot. But I think it’s going to help me learn what I need to do to improve. Everyone seems so helpful in their comments. I like the positive comments but without the critical ones, how will I learn? Anyway, thanks to everyone here on LitNet for helping everyone else out.
