I can't catch a break

Now I really am thinking that i can't catch one. I had just completed my blog entry when the entire internet shut down before I could finish submitting it. :flare: :flare: So, here we go again with what I was writing before...
I can't seem to find the time to relax. With finishing school I was thinking that I would have a few weeks to take it easy and not always feel like I have a thousand things going on. It doesn't seem to be destined for me. Maybe I just like a hectic life, and I might just inadvertantly sabotage (sp?) everthing.
I started making a list of projects that I need to complete (big mistake). I thought I had cut everything down pretty well, but I was mistaken. I have two more baby blankets to crochet. One is needed by December, and the other I need to finish by February. I have two types of Christmas ornaments to make, but I need 15-20 of each kind to give out as gifts this year. I still have Victoria's quilt to finish, but I also need to make Halloween costumes. I also need to make a wall hanging for my sister, and a set of quilted placemats for my aunt and uncle. They're two of my favorite family members, and their house burned last Christmas. Anyway, they'll be moving into a new one, that my uncle mostly built by hand, next month. The placemats are my housewarming gift to them, and I want to be sure to have them finished in time.
I also need to get out a bunch more resumes. I'm waiting on a call back from this job to see if I can do the phone interview, but I still need to apply at some of the bigger companies in the area. I'm looking at P & G and Johnson & Johnson as well as some others. If I get this current job, great, but I plan to continue on as if I will not get it. I have a feeling that I may be passed over for requesting the phone interview instead of being available to interview face-to-face immediately. What can I say, I'm a bit pessimistic, but I'll be pleasantly surprised if I get the interview. So, yeah, I've tons to do to work towards finding a job.
On to my house... I need to go through everything in case I have to leave suddenly. I don't want to leave my husband with a huge amount of stuff to sort while we fly off to Ohio. See, I've always said I'm a contradiction:lol: I'm planning to job search like I've no hope of getting the position, but I mean to prep my house as if I'm leaving next month. No wonder I feel like I'm going nuts;) I've been scatterbrained enough that I showed up to a work meeting 45 minutes early, and I was convinced I was 15 minutes late. Even my husband knew I wasn't late, but he didn't see fit to correct me when I've been saying it was at 5 pm instead of 6 pm for days *sighs*
Victoria is also sick. We've all just gotten over a cold that was kind of nasty, and now she is having a reaction to one of the vaccines she was given at her check up. Of course it is the one I dreaded her reacting to... Chicken pox. She's running a pretty high fever, and she's feeling pretty bad. I'm hoping that she'll just have the one red bump at the injection site, but she could break out in the full blown rash. I've a bunch of errands to run, including buying both the kids more jammies, but I can't do much of anything because... they forgot to mention this when giving her the shot, She's contagious. That was their bomb this morning when I called to see which shot was given to her in her right leg:flare: I guess I should be glad she is only getting a mild case from the shot, but it still sucks. If she contracted it from a weakened virus, I can only imagine what would happen if she had caught the real full strength one. I had the chicken pox pretty bad as a kid, and my one aunt had them even worse, so I guess having a minor case is good. She could have gotten really sick otherwise.
So, yep, that's my world in a nutshell right now. So much for some rest and relaxation. I don't think I would know what taking a break and relaxing is if it bit me in the bum and wouldn't let go:D Hope things are a little more peaceful for everyone else. I needed that rant. The whole chicken pox thing followed by the blod deleting just sent me over the edge for the day.
Take Care,
Meg
