Art of Watching Drunken People Dance

Can you dance?
I am a terrible dancer...well to be honest I can't even dance! Not because I have terrible hand-to-eye coordination or anything. In fact I have excellent coordination - I do play a mean game of badminton and Squash! But there is something about dancing and my self-consciousness.
Intellectually I have no problem making a fool of myself and sometimes it can be fun to play a fool in front of the "wise" because then the "wise" become less guarded and come out with their true "wisdom" to show the "fool" how intellectually superior their "wisdom" is. I used to do that a lot, not out of malice or anything - but out of pure curiosity to find out their true thinking and my God! They did come out with some garbage to justify anything! But when it comes to dancing I am unable to let myself go. Unable to let myself make a fool of myself on the dance floor. I become too self-conscious for that. I guess dancing is only for the body beautiful because it does not matter how they move their body it always looks good :-)
However there are also "not-so-body-beautiful" who also dance but it is usually after a few pints of strong beer when all their inhibitions have been drowned in copious amounts of alcohol! And then it can be fun to see them dance but also it can be also somehow sad to see them dance too - especially if you think of them very highly! But on the whole you just laugh when they start to move their "Danny Devito-bodies to a Ricky Martin song!
Some do really have nice bodies and they dance well too! And you can't help but admire their dancing. When one of my friend's wife danced on her wedding day (not drunken dance) she danced so great! And we all thought the groom was one lucky b*******...erm..chap!:-) One of my early experiences of beautiful people dancing was in one of the annual function that was held in the local community centre. That year they invited a group of sari-clad and lenga wearing Indian Dancing girls. They looked very beautiful. And their dance was mesmerizing. From Classical Indian dancing to Bollywood modern pop they seemed to gyrate their bodies so well and in so a controlled way that it was fantastic to watch! And there was another occasion when someone I know danced so great - it was like Beyonce eat your heart out! - She was very flexible like an elastic band! It’s amazing how our human bodies can do all these wonderful things :-)
But it can be a strange feeling though in watching drunken people dance. The bodily actions are so uncoordinated and out of sync with the music. However, they do get into the action of it all, doing all the exaggerated movements on the dance floor without shame or hint of embarrassment! The art of watching drunken people dance is firstly is to sit as far away as possible from them or else they will start pulling you into the crowd. And yes they will not take no for an answer (they are too drunk to notice!). So it’s best to sit as far away as possible. And when you have found a suitable location sit and enjoy and take pictures so that you can embarrass them the following day when they are sober :-) – cruel but fun :-)
