Shannanigan's Search for More...

It's quite astonishing how I thought that when I was BUSY I had hardly enough time to hang around here...if only I knew that when I had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do I would be here so much less!

I remember wanting to spend whole days on these forums...now all I want to do is sleep. Boredom breeds laziness, I think.

I decided not to work this summer; I had saved up a lot of money to go to Spain and then the trip got cancelled, so I figured I would relax and enjoy my last summer as a student and just live off of the Spain money. I went out dancing a lot, did quite a bit of drinking, though didn't get too wasted most of the time, and made a LOT of new friends and met a lot of interesting people.

Now, the summer is winding down. I'm totally broke, and feeling bad that I may have to wait a little longer before I can make my usual monetary contribution to Chris' mother who let me live here for the summer. Hopefully, the mother of the young girl I've begun tutoring on and off will pay me soon, and maybe the training on the heavy machinery I've been doing will pay off in an eventual job...hopefully before school starts, so I can pay for books.

I'm reading "Lean Mean Thirteen" with the girl I'm tutoring to try and spark an interest in reading for her. Personally, I'm reading "When Sex Goes to School" by Kristin Luker, sexual education being a concern of mine as a future teacher. I also bought "The Poe Shadow" by Matthew Pearl simply out of curiousity...can't wait to start.

For now, I'm watching 300, then I'll hopefully start posting...
