Something I've discovered recently is that open is intelligent and sharp. Ignorance is even a kind of intelligence. Open an unattached, with no corners or angles, is actually sharp and intelligent. Because what is open is most like the Tao, it is like water and goes through everything. It also works this way in our personality. In the beginning we are in open space, and we are free to move, but we get trapped in form, and then we see the empty space we were dancing in as solid. We try to grasp onto it, and make it solid, and we immediately lose the freedom we began with.

When we let go of the sense of "I" as separate, when we become again as a grain of sand in the beach, then life ceases to be a struggle.
