something different

Well today I got tossed into something I'd never done before...I guess it wasn't that amazing, but okay it was like this: Charlie picked me up, and then went to a place and we were going to set up cameras there. I met Mike, an old partner of Charlie's, and the guy we were helping.

Anyway the first thing that happened was they threw me up a ladder with a hammer drill, to drill some holes. Okay, so I got used to it fairly readily, but at first it was terrifying- it felt like the drill was shaking my whole body, and I felt sure the ladder was going to tip backwards- because how do you push on a ladder? I mean it was really scary because the drill was shaking so much. But after a little bit it got easier.. we did a total of five holes, actually a couple more..the first four were just for screws, and the fifth one was supposed to go all the way through for wires, but we ran into metal...took a while but eventually we got another hole off to the side, then we ran the wires and that was it.

It was a clear day but a little chilly, it was nice.

I'm almost certain to-day happened years ago.

'Tis would've freaked me out so much. I dislike staircases, or heights. Drills are cool but then, I would probably have injured myself, somehow (Think drilling a hole through a hand or similar)

Ah, I was so freaked out at first. It really felt like my whole body was shaking, and I was about to go flying. Also, I really thought the ladder would fall backwards, because think how do you push into a brick wall with a drill on a ladder? You push yourself away from the wall. *shudders* But after 5 or 10 minutes I got a little more used to it, still scared, but by the end I wasn't worried.
