Green birthday

Today was my mum's birthday.
Yesterday (after school) I bought her a pretty cad, a cute little bear in a box (she likes bears) a nice green bow and green ribbon (She likes green) some green balloons and some lovely roses that are white with a pale kind of peach in the middle and the petals are tipped with very light green. Dad dropped by in the morning and left his presents for her (Two books and a Rubik's cube). I wrapped them in green tissue paper (Because we don't really have any birthday paper that isn't blue) tied it with the ribbon and put on the bow. I blew up some of the balloons and hid them and I hid the presents behind the armchair.
When she went to bed I set up her presents and cards on her chair and put the balloons there too because I couldn't think of a better place to put them. I put the little teddy bear in the box (Which was separate from the other presents and wasn't wrapped but tied with the ribbon) outside her door with her card from me and the roses.
She was very surprised. When I woke up and came down stairs she was cooking herself a breakfast of microwave bacon, eggs and mushrooms (I HATE mushrooms). It was quite late (nearer lunch time). She seemed thrilled by the jumper I got her earlier (Good thing too at £15, seeing as my last one only cost £6 in the sales).
We went to see night at the museum again (Mum likes that film, as do I).
While microwaving my pasta dinner I remembered the cake I'd bought. I got it out, put it on a plate and stuck in the cute little baby candles I found last year (and used n the exact same type of cake). I came into the living room, turned out the lights and sang half of Happy Birthday before requesting the candles be blown out before they covered the cake with wax and failed to recommence after (I'm not a great lover of Happy Birthday on birthdays. Not sure why.) Mum certainly wasn't expecting a cake too. I'd made up my mind when I bought it that I'd give it to her when it was dark so the candles would have a better effect instead of during the day. It was priceless
.
What made it better was that Tom wasn't around to get in the way. He's working every weekend (as I suspected but either forgot to ask of couldn't be bothered to remember if he'd told me before). So I don't know when I'll see him in person again. I plan on being slightly different, if I can, the next time we meet though. I would like to try and get rid of half a stone or so (I'm currently 12 stone) but we'll see how I go. I'm not planning on obsessive dieting. I'm comfortable as I am (Though I don't think my joints will agree with me) but I could always do with trying to be a little less large. My diet needs drastic improvement anyway. The only thing I eat is sugar in one form or another. Oh well. I'm tired.
Bluebiird out.
