A trip to my local Park!

I went on a walk with my mam to our local park St Annes today. It was so nice to walk under the arches of trees, stoll down the one mile avenue, wander among the small gargens full of roses and drink herbal tea in the stables. St Annes was originally the seat of the Guiness Family. The Mansion no longer stands but it is still a wonderful place to visit. I took a few pics with my phone. Here they are!
this is part of the Avenue that led to the mansion. The mound in the distance is where the house once stood.

This is the view from the mound.(thats my mam)

Rose gardens. Was too over cast at time so coulnt really get good photos so this is the only one.

    Your local park! Hmph! Go ahead, rub it in, Miss Cheeky! All I've got is a bit of grass and a few measly trees. j/k. I'll see it in person someday.

    i think St.Annes is the third largest park in Dublin. There is much more to the park thatn what i've shown though! Theres ponds and summer houses in the classical style, lots of football and Gaa pitches. And the rose gardens which i couldnt really photograph because of light issues are fantastic. There are walkways under Arches of threes that route there way all over the park. And there are lots of streams and threes that are great for climbing (call them monkey trees!) The terrain is also very uneven under the canepy of the trees which is great for off road cycling!

    Woo, I can understand the nickname of Emerald when referring to Ireland! Beautiful pix, my friend, and if/when my hubby goes back, if I have to stuff myself into a suitcase, I'll be there, count on it!

    Niamh, you are very sweet! I also meant to say earlier that if your phone took pictures this good, I need to get a better cell phone (actually I am due for one, my contract is about up now)! Cheers
