Things here are going well. I've not had time to do much of anything, but the visit with my family is nice. Today has been great. Everyone wanted to go to the mountains for the day so my mom and dad took both Garrick and my niece. Victoria doesn't do very well in the car, so the two of us have stayed home. I've enjoyed the quiet, and I'm also finally getting to birthday shopping. Victoria turns 1 year old on Saturday, and I haven't finished buying her birthday gifts. That is what I've spent the day doing. Well, I've also done school work.

I finally got my new pair of boots. I couldn't wait to open them, so as soon as they arrived I pulled them out and tried them on. I didn't bother to look at the size on the box or anything. I just slapped them on my feet to see how they felt. Then I noticed that they didn't feel quite right. They seemed a little to roomy for my feet, so I started to wonder. I take a look at the box, and they sent the wrong size:flare: I know accidents happen, but when I call to exchange they tell me they don't have my size. So, I ask for another color, but they don't have that either. Finally, I get on the web site, and I find the same syle boot, but in brown. Oh yeah, it's in my size. I call back again to see about an exchange. It is amazing how much better the service is when the first words out of your mouth are "I want to speak to a manager". After managing a food place, you would think I would remember things like that. Anyway, I finally got them to exchange the wrong size for the correct one, but they will be dark brown instead of black. Not too bad when the black ones were on clearance, and I got the exchange for no extra cost. So *crosses fingers and sends up a little prayer* I should have new ones in another week or so, I hope...

Well, I'm off to go to town and finish my shopping. I hope everyone else is having a good day, or rather a good week. I'll tell more about my visit soon.
