So, I’m on vacation and I’m supposed to be clearing all the clutter from my house this week. That’s over 33 years of crap we’ve collected, saved, inherited, and bought at garage sales. It’s an overwhelming task. Yesterday Poppy and I made a lot of headway. He is on vacation too but his work required him to go to the office today. He’s an officer with the Juvenile Court and Tuesday is the day the Judge hears their cases. Well, I had plans to get my closet, under the bed, the coat closet, and the buffet cleaned out today while he was gone.

This is what I’ve gotten done so far:

Had a pot of coffee
Worked on a short story
Played on the internet a while
Checked out new posts on LitNet
Washed a load of clothes
Started re-reading 1984
Took a nap
Got dressed
Went to lunch with Motherhubbard and boys
Visited LitNet again
Talked to my daughter, the nurse, who is having a bad day
Thought about doing more laundry
Thought about kicking it in and getting something done before Poppy gets home

It’s been a pretty tiring day so far. Our grandson will be home from school shortly and he will need a snack and some attention. I’m not sure I’ll be able to get any more done
before supper time but I will try. Vacation takes a lot out of a person.
Oh well, tomorrow is another day.
