Sci Fi Story

Well its quite warm here today with an expected high of 4 degrees Fahrenheit. I find it amusing that the lower 48 is going through cold snap and north of the arctic circle its quite pleasant....for here that is.

I drove a co-worker out to the end of the world. We went out to a rig that is on a small spit of land where the pipeline, electric line and road meet. Its on the beach for the Arctic Ocean, of course you couldn't tell where the land ends and the sea begins. Its all snow and ice straight across. The only way I could tell was by looking at a small barge which had been left in the ice. It had been lifted out of the water by the heaving of the ice.

Oh well, 3 more days and I will be on a plane for anchorage. I can't wait.
