A Little Bit of Everything

So you guys must think I am a liar or something... saying I will type something soon and not....sorry. I have been really busy and I have so much to say.
I'll go backwards in events-

1)School started and I'm going to a new highschool! I love it! It has great teachers. The classes I am taking are:
Honors English 2- A great class that includes reading a lot of great literature and discussing it in Socratic dialogues. Also there is a lot of creative writing involved, which I LOVE.
Honors World history- I love this class and I normally hate history. We have had great discussions and tomorrow I am going to act as if I am Aristotle and explain why I believe my thoughts on government on the best. It will be really fun. We also do a lot of Socratics in this class.
Honors Algebra 2- I like this class too, there are few I dislike. He is a really considerate and helpful teacher.
Biology- This is a fun class, but sort of feels like a kindergarten class with all the cut and pasting we are doing.
Creative writing- this I surprisingly hate with a passion. The reason is because the first semester isn't creative writing- it's film studies which involves analytical and critical essays which I don't enjoy. We sit and watch movies in class then write about them and criticize them- I don't like it. I can do that at hime if I want to!
Dance and Rythimics- This is a hard class on the muscles and I don't like it for the first semester. We are learning jazz, tap and ballet- three dances I love later but right now we are learning hip hop or aka sex on the dance floor. I HATE it with a BURNING passion. Name a part of the body and we shake it or move it sexually. It goes against everything I believe in. But I'l live- I have too, there's no other choice.
Spanish 2- !Yo amo ese clase! I love espanol dos es mi clase favorita. !El maestro es moy comico y interesante! Mi nombre in la clase es Isabel.

So those are my classes and I love my new school.
2) I got new furniture. I received my dream of getting a canopy bed! My dad made me a canopy bed, a bookcase, and a desk, all that match. I love them!

3) National Fine Arts Competition was awesome! My short sermon went over 27 seconds on the time limit and that is minus 3 points fro each judge and I didn't get far and my short story got a superior . My poem out of 156 entries was in the top 43 of the last round (where on the list I don't now) which for my first time was absolutely great! That's the top 27.5 % ! I had a great time and heard the best band ever called Planet Shakers. There were workshops and I took the acting one which was really fun. After fine arts - the whole awesome week of it during which there was 110 degree weather- I visited Kentucky and saw all my great friends.

4) I had the best 16th b-day ever! I had breakfast/dessert thingy with my friends in KY, then an actuall breakfast at my favorite restaurant in Ohio and then took a plane and had desert with my friends in CA! On the plane they sang happy birthday over the intercom and my mom bought me a dessert plate which eneded up being disgusting. The next Saturday, me expecting nothing more for my b-day, there was a surprise b-day party for me at my aunt's pool! It was soooo sweet. My Aunt gave me an heirloom necklace with a real diamond! It was marvalous and all my friensd were there as well as my family.

5) I helped with preschool VBS at my church which was difficult because I had a child with ADD as well as one with a mental problem I don't know the name of. I love those children but taking care of two of them along with 3 other children while leading them around to other tasks was difficult. God bless them though!

6) El Salvador! It was, as I have said before, AWESOME! The El Salvador team was-
(These are just the nationals who lived in El Salvador and helped us)
Joel, Rene, Alvaro, Laura, Nty, Luz Carmen, Pastor Emilio, Norma (His wife), Andre (thier son), and Wendi. Our intern from Ohio was Jaime and our child helper was Josaline. Our leaders from our church were Brittany, Dave, Hillary, and George.
