It has been a productive evening. I've managed to write another chapter, and I am feeling very happy with the outcome. The last chapter I finished left me feeling a little lost. I understand why I needed the section of the story to be there, but it was even a little dull to me. I can only imagine how it felt to you as readers. This new chapter gives us our first real glimpse at this planet Arabella has chosen to visit, and you also get your first look at the head honcho of the world. I hope that you can enjoy reading it as much as I did writing it. Also, there is now a poll there, so you can let me know what you think that way. I know it is getting pretty long to read, but as always I love to get feedback and suggestions. Even if you hate the story, I would love to know why.

I've also managed to make some real progress on my daughter's quilt. I've managed to finish sewing my foundation blocks, now all I need to do is iron them and add the twist which makes them so interesting. Then I'll be ready to start assembling the top. When I have everything sewn together so you can have a good idea how it will look, I'll be sure to post a picture. I'm trying to have the entire top assembled by the end of the week so keep your eyes open for that picture on my blog if you want to see it.

There isn't too much else going on here. I think that we've decided on a way for the kids and I to get home to Ohio safely without driving cross-country in the dead of winter, so that is a nice development. It means leaving the dogs in Washington for a few months with my husband, but maybe then I can move them strait to a new house and not have to keep them at my parents. So, nothing but nice thoughts about my move. The parts are slowly falling together, so I know we'll be able to make something of it.

My little girl is also starting to pull up and stand next to things. She's been trying a few experimental steps, and I know it will not be long before she is walking all around my house. I still can't believe that she is almost a year already. She is just getting to one of my favorite ages. I love the time between about one and two where they seem to be learning everything at an astounding pace. I love seeing what it is that they have figured out, and I'm always surprised at the things they pick up on.

My son is still just being himself. He's been making me laugh so much lately with his newest attitudes. His new thing to say is that things are crazy. He's always telling me "that's crazy momma" (In a really demented voice) about one thing or another. He's also learned to tell me that he doesn't like me anymore when he get into trouble. I was in shock the first time he stormed off to his room and yelled back "I don't like you anymore. You're mean". Then all I could do is laugh, when he wasn't looking of course. He is growing into such a little boy. He's lost most of the baby and toddler behaviors and they are being replaced by those that you witness in school age children. He's also been working very hard to learn how to write his name. He is really into the whole idea of it, and he asks almost every day to work on writing it.

Well, I'm off to bed. I'm getting there early tonight. Hopefully it will be an uneventful night and I can get a good night's sleep. Until next time, I hope everyone is having a good day or days.

Take Care,
Meg

Your kids sound sweet! As for your story, I want to continue reading the new additions, but this has been a real busy week for me (house guest), so my times on the computer are only a bit here and a bit there, you know? Take care!
