for all eternity
abandoned and discarded
gathered and regarded

is it something real
or just a written story
mentioned in the morning sunday paper

falling on pages and screens
tears streaming by in bytes

babies crying to be heard
emotional distress bearing wings
children crying in any form
..the thought is plain unbearable

what do men do
when it's not permitted
hiding shed tears nobody sees
shoulders held back in secret
strength reflects the nonafflicted man
shame the unspoken
only mothers know his camouflaged heart

perceive a woman
who sheds not a tear
how does that happen
there are few
so many uncounted
pondering the strange reasoning

stinging wet tears
too numerous to count
lost and unspoken
in a dry desert land

nobody noticed
the shadow in his silence
sifting through the sands
collecting all those
unwanted and undenied
now recognized and confirmed

its a short journey to heaven
