The Adventures OF....J. Quest

Rate this Entry
I went in to pick up my final highschool schedule. My friends that have graduated say that its one of the those sad feelings you get...you know, whenever something is coming to an end.

Not going to lie...I didn't get that feeling. So...I think this year is going to be pretty decent. Freshman year was easy, sophmore year was the hardest, last year wasn't too bad...so I have reason to believe that this one won't be so bad.

The Sched:

ROTC
Physics
Calculus
AP English Language
German numero dos
AP US Government & Politics

I'm really only a tad bit concerned with calculus...only because its not really one of my strong points and I have problems asking questions. I was scarred in the fourth grade. I didn't understand the way the teacher was showing us how to divide. So I raised my hand and told her I didn't understand.

"What don't you understand, An-NAHHH?" (Thats how she said my name)

"Everything!" I was a pretty shy kid...

"How can you not understand it? It's NOTTT that Comp-LICATED...everyONE else understandsss, WHY don't you?"

Exact words...I swear.

So since then I don't like asking math teachers questions...its juvenile and dumb, but it just doesn't come out in that class. Oh well...but thats my concern.

After picking up my SCHED, my friend and I hit Toys'R'Us...just for fun. It was pretty darn enjoyable. My friend remarked as we passed some robotic dinosaurs, that when we were kids, well lets just say we got stuck playing with barbies. Not gonna say I didn't enjoy that...because I did. I got to play hairdresser! Plus I stole my brother's Johnny Quest action figures. So cool...I loved, LOVE Johnny Quest.

Also got a new book, so thats always exciting! I Just Want My Pants Back by David J. Rosen. I just saw the title and decided right then and there to buy it.

Well, I don't have anything else to say...so I'll just leave you with...(Thinking of a good phrase...)....

..... ........I dunno...just fill in with your favorite quote! How does that sound?!

Glad you are excited about school, Ana. About that mean teacher who 'scarred' you, SHAME on that person! If you have questions on the work covered, if raising your hand in class is a problem, maybe hang around after the class to ask? I know, too, that Adol asked some math questions right here at LitNet, and folks were more than happy to reply -- do you remember that? Take care, Kizzo

Em...Whats ROTC? I liked calcalus. Cant remember it though! We dont split our maths up like that. When i was in school the subject was just called Maths, and it was up to the teacher what they wanted tp teach you. Linear Programing is good.

Sounds great Mortis. If you have a question I could answer in a quick post on physics or even the other subjects, feel free to ask.

    Niamh, from wiki:
A Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) program is a college-based, officer commissioning program, predominantly in the United States. It is designed as a college elective that focuses on leadership development, problem solving, strategic planning, and professional ethics.
It's a school preparation for military.

Mortis - I have a niece who's also in ROTC in high school.
