What can I say, the title says it all. At the moment I’m sitting in IT and I want to check a bit of work but the school system is really slow at the moment and Word has frozen (well, that document anyway) and it won’t even close. So I figured I’d add a little update while I wait for it to sort itself out.
It’s extremely windy over here. Dad had the idea that school might close earlier because of it (Though I don’t see why) when he dropped in this morning, he also though the buses might be cancelled. So I’ll have to see how I go.
Sitting in my IT room I can hear the wind because the builders did some weird things when they built the new school. Air (and mainly cold) gets in for around some of the windows (even when they’re closed firmly). The floor shakes in some of the upstairs rooms a little sometimes and they put in heavy fire doors but secured them with short screws so the doors kept sticking because the screws couldn’t hold them. Serious bad planning I say. Some bright spark also decided to put a smoke detector in a technology room that has something (can’t remember what) that makes a kind of oily smoke (Or so my teacher said) and one right above the oven in the kitchen, which explains the number of fire bells we’ve had.
The wind is rather distracting because it’s so loud (through the poorly placed window). There are two in the room. The one nearest me is fine but the one behind is certainly not. You can see the blinds swaying as the wind howls.
I’m wondering if this wind has anything to do with global warming. I don’t remember having many winds this bad in these parts of England.
Oh well. I’d better try to fix word and do some work.
Bluebiird out.
