I'm really disappointed now. It turns out that my friend won't be able to stay nearly as long as we had originally planned. So long art galleries. I was so looking forward to be able to spend so much time with her.......sigh....

Oh well, what are you gonna do, eh? So, I'll be entering my senior year at high school this year, and I'm really starting to freak out about which college I want to go to. I feel so overwhelmed. I think I'll be going into theatre. Theatre is a huge passion of mine, and I think it would be really fun. I just have to decide whether I want to go into the acting side, or the technical side. I love acting. I've been acting for over eight years. But, that's not exactly stable work. I do have experience in working with soundboards and lighting, and that's pretty fun also, but it's just not the same as being on stage.

However, it all comes down to money. I hate it. My family isn't exactly rich, which means I'm going to have to work up the money, which means that I will have to settle for smaller colleges. That isn't necessarily bad, though. I know some pretty good small colleges. Anyone out there who can reccommend some good, cheap colleges?

    Try not to stress too much about college. I did that and ended up putting it off rather than following through on some scholarships I was offered. As for good small colleges... look at some of your local schools. I know back home, Cincinnati State is getting a good name, and they're really affordable. If anything, go to a community college for your general education classes, and then move to a larger school for your actual degree requirements. Also, be sure to look into any grants or scholarships you are eligible for, and make sure you apply for all of them. There are some really good online sites that will search through scholarships and help you to find ones that you can apply for. The Ayn Rand scholarship is always a good one, especially since you like to read. Otherwise, you wouldn't be here. Goodluck ~Meg~

    Hey, thanks for the tip. I'll check that scholarship out. I was already thinking about the whole community college thing, and I'm leaning toward it more and more.
