Sappho, Caterpillar

First off: the caterpillar must die:
....mostly because I can't stand the cheezy, sleazy 70's porn music I hear every time I see that creature atop his lip.
And I will add (because it amuses me) that the photogs said this is his girlfriend (the one in the black and white top):
But his fans (those who were there too) and I agreed that this is probably his real girlfriend:
I need to set him up with Jake Gyllenhaal - his taste leaves much to be desired! LMAO!
Okay, so Sappho does, in fact, work with me. It was cool because rather than me having to talk around the subject, she came to work in her rainbow beads and was blunt about it, giving me the opportunity to tell her I am straight. I don't think she believes me, but that's hardly my fault - LOL!
Otherwise, we have tons in common - she's a literature major, likes sports, hates the leagues of borg-like bimbos surrounding us, has short hair, etc. etc.
Funny thing, though. For those who have not followed the other thread, I dyed my hair red Tuesday. So yesterday I go to work and hit the jewelry counter to say Hi, and I am greeted by a vision of my former self. She had bleached her hair blonde, and now bore a striking resemblance to me a day before. I burst out laughing. For some reason I found that absolutely hilarious. She said people had been giving her the weird eye (she doesn't care) and I told her obviously I liked her hair, because to hate her hair would be to hate my own.
She invited me to a party Friday, which will probably shock me to death due to its nature and content - LOL! But I need to be shocked awake from this death I live daily. I have to confess that I seek out strange/unusual experiences because they are the fodder of inspiration. I don't need to participate in these experiences - ie: when I went to bike week in Myrtle Beach I didn't have a motorcycle or even ride one but I was thoroughly fascinated by the culture and the people, and loved observing them as they went about their activities.
It should be interesting. And for those who are curious, here are before and after pictures:
