I was bored and I had nothing that I really felt like doing so I decided to blog for a bit. I’ve nothing much to say. I’ve worked out a few more things for my pirates. One of the pirate capitals is Singapore (Purely because it cropped up in a couple of films the early pirates saw). It’s designed much in the same way as Venice because it’s built in the Asian ocean (they took existing names and places from Earth and things they felt should’ve been there but weren’t). Singapore, unfortunately, is built on a fault line though and is plagued by tsunamis; though they’re no threat to the people because each of the local pirate ships is equipped with a freezing device which is used to freeze the waves before they hit the city. The pirates of Singapore aren’t like the other pirates, they go around in fleets and piracy is a family business, fleets are inherited, passed down through families, which is how they can freeze a dangerous tidal wave, they all go out and combat it.
There’s a few other things but that’s the most prominent thought in my mind. I’m still working out the layout of the planet in general.
Also, on the mainland they serve burgers but they don’t use cow meat. They tried keeping cows but they just couldn’t keep them, so they started using a large species of slug that they have lurking around. I was thinking of using rats but that’s a bit too Demolition Man so I figured, what’s more disgusting than rat burgers? Slug burgers. And you don’t even want to know what they make the milkshakes from .
