Hallway

Rate this Entry
A hallway diminishes
no end in sight
and you close one door
at the end of the night
Each room is dull and dark
so very plain
No difference you see
for they're all the same
The lights are out
no one is home
No sounds are heard
and you're all alone
The hall is warm
But the rooms are cold
And with every door
you grow another day old

    Hello,
    B-Mental !!

    Your
    poetry

    reminds me
    Frost's

    "Now Close
    The Windows"

    that I
    put into Korean

    (in my
    blog)

    yester
    day...

    Good luck
    to you

    in
    Alaska...!!!

    Now Close The Windows
    by Robert Frost

Now close the windows and hush all the fields:
    If the trees must, let them silently toss;
No bird is singing now, and if there is,
    Be it my loss.

It will be long ere the marshes resume,
I will be long ere the earliest bird:
So close the windows and not hear the wind,
    But see all wind-stirred.

Interesting, B-Mental, very nice... is the hallway a metaphor for life? and doors are something like days? I liked the rhyme you used at times

Thanks for the many comments downing. You pretty muched interpreted it correctly. Its more about the sameness of life day after day.
