Alternative title: Got Bored of Just Numbering Days
A little man. I’m pretty sure it’s meant to be a soldier most likely a Roman one.

Well there’s a reason for this. I did write up this explanation before but didn’t much like it and it/ Too long. But oh well.

You see last week I noticed an advent calendar and spent the next week thinking about whether or not to do an advent calendar this year. See Day 1 for my thought process on actually doing an advent calendar.

So after having deciding to do it and going shopping 2 days before December I knew pickings would be slim.
Obviously I wanted to do a calendar with something different to write about every day otherwise what’s the point?
So the two calendars with Lindtt chocolates which are all basically the same but different flavours (including mint) is not quite the variety I was looking for.
So my only choices were one battered up Milkybar calendar.
A Paw Patrol calendar (would rather not give into a children’s toy franchise thank you very much).
So my only choice was a the “true” meaning of Christmas calendar.
Now don’t take offence but I’m not a religious person.
I respect your right to believe in whatever you wish just as I hope you respect my right not to believe.
But because I don’t believe I feel uncomfortable around religious events/iconography because it feels somehow disrespectful to those who do believe.
For me personally Christmas is more about the simple things. Family and food.

But anyway. It’s a calendar and it filled my requirements so there’s nothing to complain about.
I’m currently distracted by Blue Planet 2 so I’m ending it here.
