Listening to this is just pure pleasure/bliss for me.

It's from his 15th album, so he seems a bit more matured, even though he was brilliant from start to finish.

Oh... so! today I climbed a tree and it was really, incredibly beautiful; chirping crickets (I think they were!) and birds, it was completely perfect.
It made me almost want to write a poem, which I haven't yet; but I was just reading some of Blake's poetry and this one reminded me of the woods this morning, and the first line describes it perfectly.
For your pleasure:

Laughing Song, by William Blake

When the green woods laugh with the voice of joy,
And the dimpling stream runs laughing by;
When the air does laugh with our merry wit,
And the green hill laughs with the noise of it;

When the meadows laugh with lively green,
And the grasshopper laughs in the merry scene;
When Mary and Susan and Emily
With their sweet round mouths sing ‘Ha ha he!’

When the painted birds laugh in the shade,
Where our table with cherries and nuts is spread:
Come live, and be merry, and join with me,
To sing the sweet chorus of ‘Ha ha he!’

    Ah, Blake is such a genius... :D
    Your post really made me smile :)

    Someday I'll have to transcribe all of Jansch's lyrics... I listened to the Read all about it song again; it said the album only barely made it through. . . they said something about "uncooperative engineers," I wonder what that would have been like.
