Barmy Blue's Bland Blog

Continuing From Halloween

Why didn't I finish my Halloween blog you may have asked? I could only manage to put up five pictures so I decided to stick with one theme and do the pumpkins in another blog. So why wait so long? Well it seemed silly to write a new blog just to put in more pictures and it just felt kind of rude to do it one right after another. I don't even like doing it when I've written a super long blog and have to divide it between two or more posts. Also I just didn't want to do another one once the Halloween buzz was gone.

I have a lot of things to do for Christmas and I haven't really done any of them. It's just hard to find the motivation, especially after using up so much energy and creativity on Halloween. The simple answer to that is don't make such a fuss of Halloween. But it's just so much fun and I love seeing what I can come up with and how I can improve each year, as long as I don't feel that everyone is suddenly expecting something of me, then it's not so fun.

I collected a nice amount of pumpkin flesh but I still haven't cooked it. It's probably gone off now so I might have to throw it away after all. I'll have to see. I hate having to waste food.

So. Here are my pumpkins. I took a few reference pictures, just so you can see how small Munchkin really is.

Here is Munchkin

Sorry, forgot some are sideways. I'll change them later....if I remember.

Not much recent news. Yuki had her booster jabs today. Yesterday she started making a kind of snuffly/snorty kind of piggy throat noise. We weren't sure if it was there nose or throat to begin with and tried to make her sneeze in case there was a blockage, sneezing revealed nothing we could find. I was worried she might have inhaled insulation fibres from that suit I was going to use for Halloween. It started to escape from it's bag. I have since double bagged it for safety.

Mum asked the vet but he didn't have cause for concern, even when (I'm told) she did a little cough. But if it persists or gets worse we should take her back. He also said she'd filled out nicely since he spayed her. I thought she was getting a bit fat but he said she was a little scrawny back then and now she was pretty perfect. So that's nice.

A few days ago I groomed her. I did everything, even her ears. She was lovely, soft, fluffy and looked very clean. The next morning she had a scuffle with an unpleasant staffie and ended up rolling in mud. She was so filthy we actually had to get out a bucket and sponge and wash her (huskies are generally quite clean and lacking in the overly muskiness of some other breeds, they're still musky though, just not as much) so she doesn't need bathing much, only when she gets filthy.

I did a little stargazing the other day and yesterday I did a little knitting, two more things I very much wanted to do while working with Napoleon.

So. I think that'll do for now.

Bluebiird out.
