The Promised Revival -- To Bring Faith Back Even If It Had Gone To Pleiades (i.e. weakened).

Major points of the following address are being presented after this quote.

An address delivered by His Holiness, Mirza Masroor Ahmad, Khalifatul Masih V(aba), Head of the worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community on 11th June 2013 at an event to celebrate the centenary of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in the United Kingdom, held at the Houses of Parliament in London. The centenary celebrations were attended by 68 dignitaries, including 30 MPs and 12 Members of the House of Lords, including 6 Cabinet Ministers and 2 Ministers. Various media organisations including the BBC, Sky TV and ITV were also present to cover the event. In attendance, amongst others, was the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change The Rt Hon. Ed Davey MP, the Deputy Prime Minister The Rt Hon. Nick Clegg MP, the Home Secretary The Rt Hon. Theresa May MP, the Shadow Foreign Secretary The Rt Hon. Douglas Alexander MP, the Chairman of the Home Affairs Select Committee Rt Hon. Keith Vaz MP and Member of Parliament for Mitcham and Morden Siobhain McDonaugh MP.

MAJOR POINTS AS GIST

1- Thank for those friends of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, who have very kindly organized the event (within UK Parliament) to celebrate 100 years of Ahmadiyya Community in UK.


2- Hope and pray for the beautiful and grand office and its workers who serve their country in best possible manner for national and international peace.


3- It is the teaching of Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) that love for one’s country is essential part of faith……Local British people have great qualities of open-heartedness and tolerance. Those who have come here to settle should prove to be loyal the citizens.


4- Members of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community are the loyal citizens of the country of residence worldwide.


5- They are celebrating their 100 years in United Kingdom. Because of following real Islamic teaching as mentioned above, they have always fulfilled the requirement of being loyal to their country; always steered clear of all forms of extremism, rebellion and disorder.


6- Ahmadiyya Muslims are the standard bearer for peace, reconciliation and harmony with motto ‘Love for All, Hatred for None’.


7- Some non-Muslims who know Ahmadiyya Community are surprised that this sect attribute its peace stance to Islam while there are other so-called scholars and organizations claiming to be Muslims speak, act and promote very different message……. Ahmadiyya Muslims believes that since, in this era, no country or religion is waging physical war against the religion Islam, thus Jihad by sword (i.e arms) is not needed. ….. Those orthodox who practice it, they are producing extremism and terrorism worldwide, at various levels. Real teaching of Islam has nothing to do with brutal killings of innocents. Islam condemns it.


8- Islam emphasizes on religious tolerance. Islam tells that Prophets were sent to all people thus a Muslim cannot disrespect, mock or insult any Prophet of God or hurt sentiment of followers of any religion……Other people tend to believe that until they prove other relgions are fasle they are unable to prove the truth of their religion. There are some non-Muslims who grievously mock and slander the Founder of Islam (peace and blessings of Allah be on him). It leads to irresponsible reaction by certain Muslims; such reaction is not taught by real Islam. One will never find Ahmadi Muslims, however much they are provoked, will ever react in such negative way.


9- An allegation is often raised against the Founder of Islam, Holy Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) and Holy Quran that they gave teaching to spread Islam by force. Let’s see the reality. Allah Who has all Powers, could easily force all people to adopt the same religion. But He gave the choice:
‘And if thy Lord had enforced His Will, surely, all who are in the earth would have believed together. Wilt thou, then, force men to become believers?’ (ch 10 : v 100)
Surely, then, Holy Prophet (s.a.w.) or any of his followers could not force others to become Muslim! Islam is completely against compulsion. Nevertheless, anything disrespectful said about the Holy Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) pierces and wound our hearts.


10- It was Founder of Islam (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) who developed love of God and His creation in our hearts; love and respect for all humanity and all religions within us…..New comers never said that Holy Prophet (s.a.w.) asked them to do cruelty. Instead they felt threatened by surrounding people, tribes or nations because Holy Prophet (s.a.w.) taught them only peace.


11- ‘Salam’ means ‘The Source of Peace’, it is an attribute of God mentioned in Holy Quran. God’s peace is for all Creation and all mankind. Holy Prophet (s.a.w.) brought peaceful teaching but opponents rejected and ridiculed and insulted in response, Holy Quran records:
‘I swear by his repeated cry “O my Lord!” that these are people who will not believe. Therefore, turn aside from them, and say, “Peace”; and soon shall they know.’ (ch 43 : v 89-90)
The noble mission of the whole life of Holy Prophet (s.a.w.) was to spread peace in the world. Surely, one day, the world will realize that he did not brought teaching of extremism. He came with message of love and peace. If his followers also respond to cruelties and injustices with same loving manner, then one day objection raises will be convinced with truth and beauty of teaching of Islam.


12- Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama'at follows and live by these teachings of understanding, tolerance and compassion and take it to the world. They follow the historic and unmatched teaching of Holy Prophet (s.a.w.)…. He and his companions suffered for years; persecuted; basic necessities were stopped from them; attacked; some were killed in most barbaric manners; even elderly were treated ruthlessly. When Holy Prophet (s.a.w.) returned victoriously to Mekkah, he did not seek revenge. Instead he announced:
“ There shall be no punishment upon any of you for I have forgiven you all. I am a messenger of love and peace. I have the greatest knowledge of Allah’s attribute of being a ‘Source of Peace’ – He is the One Who gives peace. Thus, I forgive you of all of your past transgressions and I give you a guarantee of peace and security. You are free to remain in Makkah and to freely practice your religion. No one will be compelled or forced in any way.”
Fled ones with fear returned. The most resolute opponents, when saw the benevolence and mercy of the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.), accepted Islam of their own free will.


13- Majority of non-Muslim historians and Orientilists have accepted the above truths. These are real teachings of Islam and the noble example of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be on him). Today, it is Ahmadiyya Community which follows and live according to the original peaceful teaching of Islam.


14- The hatred-filled acts of extremists have no link with real Islam. The true justice urgently requires that acts of such people should not be attributed to religion or its founder.


15- World is global village now. Mutual respect is required, failure will bring mass destruction. Two world wars has been fought. Now acts of certain countries are precursor of another war. Let us save ourselves, our future generations from possible devastation. Let us stop a possible atomic war with adopting justice, integrity, and honesty and join together to suppress and stop hate-spreaders and destroyer of world peace.


16- May God Almighty enables the major powers to discharge their responsibilities in this effort in most fair and just way – Ameen.
