500 years of sagas and dróttkvæði, will it work out?!

I shouldn't be here, I should be studying for my test. The first 400 years or so of the history of literature on the ice. Snorri and the Edda, dróttkvæði and kings and peasants. I am kinda nervous about this exam cause I hear the teacher expects a lot and is very strict. I have showed up for every class and taken notes, read the books and all that but I get so nervous when I have to answer questions about my knowledge. It really threw me yesterday when I couldn't remember the name of the jotun that Þór went with to sea, and even though that is not a part of my schooling I knew it I just couldn't find it in my head and it kinda freaked me out. I was at my moms house and when I got home the first thing I did was look it up and of course I knew it, Hymir was his name but this simple thing of forgetting something I know I know. I am not making any sense right now....

I am nervous but can't focus right now for some reason. Maybe I need to go to my favorite cafe, I usually study better there.

I think I am over my low period for now, I feel better I think. I am still very tired of my brother living with me but he spends most of his time with his girlfriend so it's OK. My mom is babysitting for me so I can study. It was kind of annoying that before a big test my son has 4 days off from school so my mom took him last night and will bring him back later today. I am going to a lecture before that about Rhymes, a poetic tradition from around 1300. Hopefully it will come to use on the test.

Well I should go and do something wise with my time and read about the Edda or something.

Good luck on the test. You will do well, I know. You are very smart, Helga, and I also really admire your work ethic.
