Day 24

Rate this Entry
Can't stay long. In a big rush.
I got a larger than before cracker and Yuki got a red and a green twisty stick.

I've decided that baking Christmas cookies for Christmas Day was a little........pointless. I didn't have the time to do it today and, really, we pretty much eat until we're near to exploding on Christmas Day and I have until the 29th before we go to see mum's family.

We've finally done the last minute decorating. I stuck my paper chains on the ceiling. They're quite pretty.

I wrapped the other gifts, including 2 toys for Yuki. I want to see her excitedly ripping off the paper like the dog in one of the Tesco adverts this year.

I called Napoleon as mum asked. She can't get the car looked at until the 27th. Napoleon said he'd have a look tomorrow.......technically today.

Saw The Snowman and the Snowdog. It made me want to cry. It's so sad when the Snowman melts.

Mum got the bird today and will be sharing a room with it until she gets up at five or something to start cooking it. The radiator in her room doesn't work so it's the coldest place to store that beast. And oh my what a beast it is. We let Yuki sniff it to satisfy her curiosity. She started following mum around and when she put it in her room Yuki went in and jumped on the bed, then looked at me as if I was going to steal it. Later on I caught her guarding the door. Very sweet.

I think there was more to say ....

Oh. A few days ago Napoleon called me and wanted me to formally invite him to dinner. Don't get why he does that. I know I've said he has to give us at least a days notice when he drops round but Christmas is the one exception to the rule.

Also. I don't know when he plans to get here. I forgot to ask. I'm guessing something like 9-10. We'll see.
He'll probably text me a time and I'll still be in bed, like last year, but he was running about 2 hours late last year .

That's all for now. Need to try and sleep. Ate a bit too much sugar not too long ago, just to clear it away so sleep might not come easy.

Anyway.

Merry Christmas.
Happy Holidays.
And all of those kinds of greetings. Whichever one may apply to you.

Sleep now.

Bluebiird out.
