There are some recent things that kind of **** me off at the moment. Mainly things I've heard on the news. So. In no particular order.

GCSE's. For the past few years about this time of year "officials" have been saying that exams are too easy and need to be harder because too many students are getting good grades. Um...yeah...how exactly is that a bad thing? It might not be to do with the exams. It could be the quality of teaching they've received or the studying they've done or even that they might have cheated which is a different matter. But now the overall grades have dropped a bit this year and people are complaining that the exams were too hard this year. Make up your ****ing minds. You can't have it both ways.

There's been a considerably unhealthy interest in some nude pictures taken on a holiday in Vegas. British newspapers have respectfully not published them but others have but now The Sun have. Well of course. The intellectual content of The Sun is laughable and I think it would be better used as toilet paper so it's no surprise they'd print them. My only comment on the whole thing is get a ****ing life people. There is such a thind as privacy you know.

Celebrity Big Brother....Who the hell are these people? How exactly are they famous? Who cares anyway? Once again get a ****ing life people. I really can't believe people watch it. When channel 4 axed it I thought we were finally free but then channel 5 picked it up. Why? Just let it die and leave it's rotted corpse to the crows where it belongs.

Now this is quite an odd one. The other day there was a report about the lack of statues of women in London. It said that it's been noticed that most statues in London are either of men or animals and a minute number of women, most of which are royals. Now, as a statistic it's interesting but nothing more. I have a fear now that radical feminists, having been alerted to this, will kick up a fuss about it. Apparently some possible nominations for female statues in London have included Joanna Lumley, J. K. Rowling, Dame Kelly Holmes and Princess Diana....................... To be honest I hate the idea of all of them. Of course a lot of our statues are of men, a lot of them are in honour of war heroes or significant historical figures and like it or not women didn't fight in the significant wars of our history, very few were able to become prominent figures. That's just the way things were. And it's not like we have any catastrophic world wars (I am unbelievably grateful for this) at the moment where people can elevate themselves to "significant figures". Besides, the few women statues we do have are a testament to us as they are. Think about it. Our queens are much more recognised than our kings even thought there have been significantly less of them. Can Princess Diana really compare to a figure like Churchill? I don't think so.

Anyway. These are some things I wanted to vent. Thanks for reading.

Bluebiird out.

Oh and Don't worry. I'm not getting depressed or angry or anything at the moment. I'm actually really happy. I'm not sure if it's a mid month hormone spike or whether it can be attributed to my ingesting something of a fresh salad 3 days a week (I have a pasta salad which is okay but when you look at the ingredients it's deceptively fattening and two of those small side salads I mentioned previously) I'd try and get one for every day of the week but they have a shelf life of 3 days so I only buy 3. Besides, I'd get sick of salads every day. I hope it's having some positive effects. It must be.

Also I got my toothpaste. 3 boxes so I'm well stocked now .
