Mac and variety

Sound like a new brand of tinned food, I know.
Had to get in on time for my business exam. Just made it in time. The exam seemed okay. Then I had my ASDAN "exam" straight after break. We had the task of designing a prospectus. I made mine overly nice and full of sarcasm and acronyms, instead of the "Hell hole" idea I first had. Besides, sarcasm is more subtle .

Then we had an extended lunch because the school was doing "Christmas dinner" AKA turkey slices in gravy. I don't ever have school lunches now, but I miss the "Christmas" dinners we had in my primary school. The turkey was so delicious. It was a shame we only got one slice. Oh well.

Most of my business class had an exam and my teacher hadn't prepared anything because she thought that our exam was during the lesson and was only told it was in the morning this morning.

We swapped rooms with some PE students that needed a bigger IT room (Because the laptops had been double booked).
After that my year leader needed the smaller room we were in for his lesson so we spent the last lesson id the computer room with the Apple Macs.

Actually, it was me who discovered the room was open. We assumed we were in the study room, with the PC's but when the option of Macs was discovered, we went for it. It's the room that only the media students get to go in normally.

I've only ever used PC's so I didn't have a clue what to do. It was alien .
There's the power button at the back. The whole mouse is one button with a little roller ball where the wheel should be and it has two little buttons at the side that bring up the calendar. It was so strange to me, and the screens were bigger too.
With no work to do and unsure of how to get onto the internet and what any of the programs were I discovered chess and started to play that. The computer kept beating me, so I got bored. Then I discovered some other classic games and played those.
The only problem was I didn't know how to log off. I tried turning it of at the back but it didn't actually shut down. I had to ask my teacher for help with it . Silly me .
I've wrapped up mum's present. Instead of my customary silver ribbons and bows and non Christmassy paper (The kind full of Santa's and trees and bells and holly etc. It's just so boring and predictable ) Usually blue or silver. Just for mum I've dug up some reasonable paper. It's gold with simple pictures of trees and holly etc. in red and green. My main reason for picking it was because it would go well with both of the ribbons I bought on Saturday (A red one with glittery green spots and a red one with gold poinsettia).
the problem was that it would go well with both. So i wrapped the slippers in a shoe box (To disguise the shape) willed it with green shreds of paper that I bought for her mother's day present last year. I've also slipped two little boxes, containing two Bailes chocolate truffles in each box and put them in the toes of each slipper. I can't wait to see her face when she opens it .
I wrapped the box and then taped the spotted green ribbon around the side and tied the poinsettia ribbon around it in the customary fashion. I dug out a pretty bow, but I needed to tape it to the present because it was poorly made (They usually are). And filled in the tag.
Now I'm watching the royal variety performance.

Oh, and today's chocolate was an angel, I think. That or a little female with very big pigtails. No, it must be an angel.

Oh. I almost forgot. I've got some English homework to do too, for tomorrow first lesson. Oh dear. I'm going to be in trouble. Though, I have had exams to prepare for. We'll see how I go.

Ha, my school did a Thanksgiving Dinner (I don't suppose they have that in England) and it was the same thing pretty much...Everyone looks forward to it, and then gets disgusted after tasting it. I bring my lunch, so I've never faced that particular problem. And since half my food comes from friends, when its disgusting, everyone loses
    =' (
But that was a while ago. I'm over it now...sort of.

And I know this is random, but the way English people talk amuses me. Its not really funny, just different. Amazing how different the same language can be when separated by Oceans, Cultures, and Politics...I think American and English were officially named two different dialects at some point =D

Sometimes I think they are different languages .
I could tell you some tales about my primary school dinners .
    The dreaded mashed potatoes
    Mexican hotpot

Sometimes they were good but mostly they weren't. We did have some delicious desserts though.
    Marble sponge
    Syrup sponge
Semolina with chocolate buttons or jam (But always better with buttons )

And you are correct. We don’t have thanksgiving in England but I’m told the idea of the Christmas turkey came from your Thanksgiving turkey.
