As Things Are Progressing Nicely

I find myself strangely happy for a change. There's an overall feeling of contentment despite the fact that nothing's really changed since the time I may have felt depresses or just less content. Things are okay.
Mum's oil draining procedure went well. Apparently they normally discuss the cataract removal by now as well but if the doctors didn't discuss it with her then there's got to be a reason. She has a follow up appointment in 2 weeks, maybe they'll discuss it then. The stitches are uncomfortable for her but if they become too much of a problem then she can call them any time to discuss what course of action to take if necessary. At the moment I'm taking the dog out for all her walks.
I've heard that there's a condition that affects people over the Autumn and Winter months where they become clinically depressed due to lack of sunlight. No. I don't think I have that. I wouldn't dare to suppose my tiny bouts of general unhappiness, which could be easily fixed by some lifestyle changes, are due to clinical depression. It's just something interesting. The way to fix it is to use a high powered light that imitates sunlight (but without the blinding brightness or UV rays). Also, it's said that the further you are from the equator the more chance you have of encountering it. How strange is that?
I only mention it because I wonder if going outside in daylight is having a positive effect on me in general. I only go out to walk the dog and I usually do that in the evening, when it's dark.
I've made some more experiments with my home made cold porcelain. I don't think I made it quite right because it sinks but it's fun to play with. I made some miniature sushi and a miniature tea set. I've wondered if I could start making little clay charms and trinkets to sell but I'd need a lot more practice for that, practice and someone to be my accountant.
Recently I've been having moments of clarity were things just slip into place. Even though I'm not physically writing my novel at the moment I've never stopped planning and working things out for it. Now things are fitting together perfectly here and there. It's really fun. Now and then, when I've worked on something enough I jot it down in the notebook I allocated to novel planning so that I don't forget it.
Let's see...ah. It was the dog's birthday a couple of days ago. Nothing interesting really, just something noteworthy.
Bluebiird out.
