I love the ice when it's dark. I saw the sun rise just before noon and set around 3, short days long wonderful nights. I have so many candles around the apartment these days so warm and cozy. I finished my exams and I don't know how it went really, I am kinda nervous I have been sick for two weeks now and whenever I feel like I am getting better I wake up the next day feeling crappy.

My son will be spending Christmas with his dad, like I have said about a hundred times before so I am gonna give him a break from school all the days I don't have to work so we can play. I watch a lot of superhero movies with him and it is a lot of fun but I have decided that between Christmas and new year I am gonna take a few nights when we will be on our own holiday and we are gonna watch Lord of the rings!!! I can't wait. I realized the other day that at school the teachers probably think I am very odd. My son said the other day that he wanted to be a Hobbit so he would never have to wear socks, some kid was talking about LOTR, I told my boy that he saw the moves about a year ago he had just forgot (a bit to young) we sat up, he had climbed into bed with me this morning and I realized I had on my bed LOTR covers, one from the two towers and the other from return of the king. He was so excited to tell everyone that his mommy had LOTR covers on her bed! I am also the mommy that has Star Wars toys he can't play with, I don't know if this sounds good at all....I just don't want to grow up completely... maybe I have peter pan syndrome

I have to brag a bit about my boy too ( I am the mom that talks all the time about her boys) he is 5 years old and he can read! almost fluently!!! clever boy

I heard a sentence in Down by law I think that I just thought was so good: Life is sad and beautiful. I like it.

I am addicted to Morrissey these days! I just listen to the Smiths or his solo album all the time! I do this get stuck on something and listen or watch nothing else... but he is a pretty good thing to get hooked on I think.

well my son will be leaving to go to his dads house in a few minuets so I am gonna go and get him ready.

    Three hours of sunlight? Oh my gosh. I wouldn't like that at all. But then I would probably like you summer of only three hours of darkness.

    Haha, on your son not wearing socks. My son does the same thing! He takes off his socks every day, even if the floor is cold. One day I'll have to get him hobbit feet too.

    That is impressive that he can read at five. You're obviously a good teacher. he may be a clever boy, but someone taught him.

    I think it's cute that you have all the LOTR stuff and the star wars stuff. It's charmingly geeky, or geekily charming, take your pick. I need to watch those movies again, myself.

    By the way, how do you guys keep your houses warm when it's so cold? When it got down to only 20 degrees F here last winter my heater could not heat my house up past 60 degrees. It really felt like 50 in there. It was twarm and cozy, I can tell you.

    The candles are a good idea. I need to do that.
