I do not keep
secrets as a kindness
but for me it is a sort of
necessity.

Duty bond
my lips remain sealed
and so you may rest
without fear.

Though I possess
all that is required
to destroy you,
your confessions
will not be brought forth
into the light.

You may forsake me,
cast me down from the
precipice of your
confidence, and sever
my soul from your
dark light.

I shall keep vigil
but be not mistaken
it is not a mercy.
I speak not,
to protect you.

A thousand ways
I would slay you
if I could, but I am
oathbond and vowed
my silence to forces
greater than you.

So, yes even as I
wield the power
and you may know
your sins against me,
awaiting punishment.

Still your secrets
I will keep when even
my heart may be
embittered with
hate.
