Ok, I've had a tough day. I found out my wife's car needs $2400 in repairs to pass inspection. It was hard to believe it amounted to that much, but yeah, when you added up all the various sensors that went bad (why the hell do we have these computerized engines?), all four brakes needed to be redone, and throw in a tune up, and urrgh. I kind of got angry and had a chip on my shoulder all afternoon.



Then I came across this wonderful little video and it put everything in perspective. Warning: This is a hanky alert. It brought tears to my eyes.

    Kind of got angry is a very big understatement and the chip was huge!!!

    Hmmm, cars suck when they need those expensiive repairs; with so many, maybe it's time for a new car?

    my car is only 8 years old and has under 50,000 miles on it. This is the first time my car needs new brakes. I'm not ready to part with it yet.

    Mr. Jersea and I went through this before I had to go to NJ. It was so bad that I made him drive the car so he could feel how bad the brakes were and hear the squealing. Mine cost less, but cars can be a sore spot. He was angry as well. The hardest part is when you could use that money for something fun, particularly in the summer. But we need to keep the passengers safe.

    Car repairs have been the bane of my ecomonic life. Really throws a crimp into an already slim life style. Sympathies.
