Busy Dark Muse - I haven't read them all so I can't really comment, just have to take your word for it. I hope You enjoyed them all

I enjoyed most of them, the last two not quite as much. Of course this is purely my own opinion, most people I know absolutely loved Persuasion, but I just did not care for it at all.

I'm one of those who likes Persuasion - They're all good, but I always want to give Fanny Price a good shaking, far too meek and mild for a heroine.

That is one of the things which I did not care for in Mansfield Park, is that Fanny was just so dull for me, she had no real personality. She spent nearly the whole book just moping. And both her and Edmund were too morally stuffy for me.

I've only read P&P, Emma, and Persuasion. All three were excellent. Of the three, I think I favor Emma.

I really wrestled between P&P and Emma as to which one to list first.

Emma is my favourite Austen, it's one of my favourite novels by any author.

I love all of her books. Has anyone seen the new adaptation of her novel? Its called Scents and Sensibility.

I have read Pride and Prejudice and a short novella Lady Susan (I think that's the title--it's poted here at Litnet). Ahem--Marvel Comcs have done adaptations of the first four novels on your list --five issues each. I'm hoping they do the last two books as well. They then release a trade paperback afterwards. P&P is best drawn --realistically--how could they not. Emma looks a bit cartoonish but it adds style to it. For instance.

Personally I am a huge fan of S&S. Elinor is my favorite, i could read that book over and over a million times as well as the movie. I just recently watched the newest version of it. It's called Scents and Sensibility. I recommend it to any Jane Austen fan.
