My "fun" Night

Rate this Entry
I am getting ready for bed last night, and on my windowsill (my bad is right up against the window) I have this little cactus which has been there for a long without having ever been a problem before, but somehow or other as I was getting myself situated in bed the cactus got knocked down and fell into the bed, spilling dirty everywhere, and the cactus itself fell out of the pot.

It is at this point 2 in the morning, going on three, so for a moment I had thought about just going to sleep on the couch and dealing with the situation in the morning, but I already had other stuff I wanted to get done today I did not feel like messing with it than nor did I really feel like sleeping on the couch.

So in the wee hours of morning, first I had manage to salvage as much of the dirt as I could to put it back into the pot, and repot the cactus, than try to carefully remove the sheets from the bed without spilling dirt throughout the house, to take them in the background and sake them off before putting them in the wash machine. And than I had to vacuum off the mattress and the windowsill, and dig through the closet to find a new set of sheets, and make the bed.

The good news is that I had recently got some new sheets which I hadn't yet got around to using, so it gave me an excuse at least to use my new sheets.

But by the time I actually got to sleep it was probably almost 4 in the morning.

Dang it! That's a real bummer. Nothing worse than being half asleep and dealing with a mess.

Every once in a while our dog likes to vomit in the bed in the middle of the night. Yes, oh gross, the dog sleeps with us. He particularly does it more in the warmer months after he eats a frog. It is so gross. I'd take dirt over dog vomit any day.

Haha, yes as much as I did not appreciate stumbling around the house at 3 am making the bed and vacuuming, I would prefer that to dealing with dog vomit.
