Halls of the Dark Muse

Now I have no actual official plans to get married, but I just happened to be watching this show called "Last Cake Standing" and they were doing a wedding cake challenge which set me to random musings on the subject.

I have mentioned before how I am generally not really a cake person but if I am going to have a cake I prefer it be chocolate. I also prefer chocolate frostings over white frostings, and so I determined that my wedding cake would have to be a chocolate cake, but I never actually seen such a thing before because of course most people want that traditional white wedding cake.

So out of curiosity I decided to look it up to see if anyone actually does make chocolate wedding cakes and I happed upon what would be my perfect wedding cake.

It was a dark chocolate (which I love dark chocolate) cake with chocolate orange gnache, and I am a huge fan of chocolate truffles with orange gnache in them.

So that sounded like the most heavenly cake.
