Cross and the Switchblade

I believe I have actually mentioned seeing David Wilkerson, primary author of The Cross and the Switchblade back in 1971 preach in Turlock, California in a blog entry so long ago looking it up would be more work then getting a response from a certain still fondly thought upon moderator.
Apparently he is in glory now having been killed in an automobile accident in Texas the 27th.
Though I have serious issues with some of his teachings on the Holy Spirit over the years I have mellowed somewhat and hopefully matured just a bit when it comes to God's servants. More respect for what they DO rather then what they DON'T do. Hiding my lack of spiritual depth and lack of meaningful Christian works between the faults of other men and women of God is an act of cowardice I hope not to be guilty of any longer at least.
I actually hadn't thought about him in ages. If anything I thought more about the actor Pat Boone who protrayed him in the movie version of the book recently because HE guest-starred as a character in an old issue of Lois Lane comics--issue 8 I believe off the top of my head--never read it but I have seen it and Lois is finally getting a reprint volume oh her early comics from DC later this year. If she can get one can Sea Devils be far behind?
Anyway--health wise I'm fine--going to be a grand-father in about a week or so and I still check in here now and again. My kids are well, my job is about the same and 83 Avengers to go ho ho.
