Heretic Heart

I got the idea to write this from a song I heard, though I don't know what it is called. It is inspired by my personal experiences with a narcissist. Imagery was inspired by a book I am reading.
Heretic Heart
Upon your tongue
is the alchemy
that turns iron into gold,
weaving truth into lies
or unspun lies materialize
as truth.
Your eyes, the philosophers stone,
a vault of ancient knowledge,
hidden mysteries
which you guard over,
the key locked somewhere
within your soul.
Forbidden, occultic
promises rest upon the
edge of your lips
ready to tumble down
into the yawning abyss.
You walk in your own
golden nimbus,
self-defined saint,
they will fall at your feet
offering themselves as
your sacrificial martyrs.
You never burn at your
own stake, never nailed
to your own cross,
as the deceiver who walks
in a saviors robes.
And we all confess
our secrets to your ears
so you sore them within
the chalice of your heart
to be transmuted
into your own immortality.
