Nyeh I Kind Of Want To Keep The Dog

Title tells all. I kind of want to keep the dog. More cons than pros but I still kind of want to keep her. Seems we both hat the idea of re-homing her. She's already lost one family and she could be in a kennel for a while until someone adopts her and she's already used to us. We'll need to make some changes.
We'll need to register her with the vet
Get her microchipped (in case she runs away, she doesn't wear a collar now because she escaped, it's a harness now)
Get her spayed (We've never had a *****. The only female pet we've ever had was an evil hamster called Ginger)
There are some other things to do but do you mind if I list them later?

    The long suffering wife and were discussing our pet situation today as a matter of fact. We would like to move one more time to an apartment or something like that becuase this house is somewhat unsuitable (especially in the winter months) but we are at least three to four years away form being able to afford it. Hopefully the landlord will keep us that long. So we are sort of letting the pets die off in their natural life span--Onyx is about 8 years old now and I'm starting to see signs he's slowing down just a bit. The cats are about to and six so there is plenty of time left hopefully but apartments seem to be a bit pet shy about living quarters. Best to you on keeping yours.
