Halls of the Dark Muse

I am a big fan of the show House. And though as a general rule I do not like doctor shows, House is completely different than your typical doctor show, and well go figure, I enjoy the misanthropic doctor who does not actually like people and has no problem telling them just what he thinks with total disregard for their feelings.

So last night episode of House the show took this really different, artistic direction, in which throughout the show there were a series of these little dream episodes, and each of the dreams were presented in the form, as if they were a TV show, or movie. For example the first one was set up to look like a modern sic-com. One of them was presented like a scene from a black and white show from the 50's, one looked like an Action Adventure movie. And in the last one it was a musical with House performing the song "Get Happy" which is irony in itself ,and well House being House he gave it a bit of a twisted edge.

Well ever since that show I have been obsessed with that song and have not been able to get it out of my head. And the song itself is one that if it was not presented on House, well I probably would not give it much notice and the original version of it is not much to my taste, but I happened upon this awesome video of a performance of the song, that I absolutely loved:

This is the version of the song I had wanted to download onto itunes, but they wouldn't sell this song as a single and you would have to buy the whole album for it. So I think I am going to settle for the Frank Sinatra version of the song. I really want the actual House version, but they do not have that.
