From Now On

Rate this Entry
---- to Spartacus

From now on, you will enter the eternal kingdom
In naked disregard for the bloody temptation
Crazy screams become extinct from the world

From now on, you will hold the torch high
Standing on the top of the sanctuary, using free thought
To light the wider forest

From now on, ignorance and numbness
Will be buried ,in the depth of the abyss of evils
Together with arrogant skeletons, greedy vultures
Countless wild and bloodthirsty beasts

From now on, the people will begin to prostrate themselves
On the ground to worship you,
In the ways of old
Your relatives, friends, and enemies
And the eternal eagle circling over the Europe

I believe that Spartacus was crucified because he attempted to lead a rebellion of slaves. I like your treatment of the man here. In your poem he almost seems like Christ as friends as well as enemies prostrate themselves in front of him. I found the third stanza to be especially good.
