I am quite excited because I just found out that I may be getting another snake, which is totally awesome!
Some lady that my mom knows bought a snake for her son when he was like 10 or 12 years old and now that he is in high school he has lost interest in the snake so she has been looking for someone else who might be interested in a snake and so my mom asked me if I wanted another snake.
Of which of course I said yes, actually the first thing I said was where am I going to put it? Because I really don't know where I will be able to keep another snake. I am hoping that I will be able to keep it in the cage of which I used to keep my lizard but I do not know how big the snake is as I have not seen it yet.
I know that it is a corn snake so it will be at most around the same size as my king, and it will not likely be any bigger than that, as both corn snakes and king's reach a max of 6ft, my king is already near at that, and on average corn snakes tend to be smaller than kings. kings range from 3ft-6ft while corn's range from 2ft-6ft.
So if it is smaller than my king I should be able to keep it in the old cage I have, but if it is the same size as my king than he will need something bigger and that could be problematic, for one thing because reptile terrariums tend on the expensive size for another I do not know if I would have any room anywhere to keep another one as big as the one my king snake is in.
The other thing is that the woman who use to own the snake I know would feed it on frozen mice, but I always get live mice for my snake, and so I am hoping that the snakes natural instincts will just take hold and that it can adapt to live feed, because I rather not have to keep and deal with frozen mice.
