Well, I'm back.
For the day, at any rate. I can't tell you how I missed you all. Throughout the entire week I've been doing stuff and thinking, "I've gotta blog about this." It gets to a point where you want to share what you've been doing with this place.
I caught up on blogs. Seems like a lot has been going on with you all. I'm sorry I wasn't able to comment when they were first posted.
School has been going on slowly but steadily, thank you Jesus. I'm very glad to say to all dreading logarithms that it isn't half as bad as it seems.A victory!
I watched Two Towers and Return of the King again(that's right, again) and some of the special features. Seriously, I am very amazed at Viggo Mortensen. He is not only an actor but a photographer, a painter, a poet, and musician. But he is also a very generous, feeling man. Arwen's stunt double had fallen in love with the horse she had ridden for Arwen at the Fords when she took Frodo to Rivendell (how I just love running my tongue over those silvery syllables!) but she couldn't afford to buy the horse. Viggo bought it for her and gave it to her as a gift! That, in my opinion, is incredibly noble and generous.
This is going to be my last Litnet time for the next two weeks. As I hinted at in an earlier blog entry, I'm going to camp! It's a camp for children with heart disease and I'm going as a junior assistant and my sister is a camper. Read more at www.kidsheartcamp.orgShe had severe heart problems when she was a baby but praise God, one surgery took care of all the defects and she is now very healthy. Then straight way after that my parents are going to come pick us up and we'll go on a road trip to British Columbia, Canada for a mini-family reunion. So, no Litnetting for me for about three weeks and I am going to miss you intensely. However I am looking forward to going. My family has taken many road trips together and we just have tons of fun. My Dad drives, my Mom sleeps or talks to my Dad, and my sister and I sit in the back and read or listen to music or write. It's so quiet but the sense of camaraderie is incredible. Not to mention, I've got a lovely amount of stuff to take with me in the form of books and music. Tolkien(natch) Yeats and Froud(at the suggestion of Niamh) and for music, Loreena Mckennit, POTC soundtrack, Star Wars soundtrack, Hayley Westenra, Celtic Woman, LOTR soundtrack....*rubs hands in glee*
Something to remember me by:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N6V4kzM5Yos Loreena Mckennit's song Caravanserai, a current favorite of mine.
See you soon! May your shadow never grow less (Tolkien, for all those who think I've gone completely mad!Maybe I have...wouldn't surprise me!
