I Am......

I am an ocean
held by your tidal pulls,
as I crash against your
shores, seeking to draw
you down into the depths
of my soul.

I am a fire which burns
embers of light through
your darkness, surrounded
in your cold winter embrace.

I am the earth beneath
your naked feet, a constant,
always there to bear you up
as you kneel against my
boundless body.

I am the wind without restraint,
there with every breath you breathe
a caress against your cheek,
painting the sky in Autumn colors.

    Hmmmm---been awhile since venturing on Dark Muse territory. Perhas a bit of fear involved since we share little in common and I always feel ignorant around her--sigh. But she is so thought provoking. While good I felt to be honest and I am at least that--a little disappointed. The four elements have been DONE to death. I can even point you to a BATMAN comicbook with the the Joker that uses IT as a theme for the Joker's crimes--issue 136 circa 1964. But nonetheless you do well with the subject--now please back to the untravelled paths where you are the Goddess.

    Yes that is true, but as a Pagan, the four elements are sacared to me and a prevalent part of my influence and inspiration. Even though it has been done before, I do like to work the elements a lot within my work becasue of the specific meaning the elements hold for me.

    And the structure of this poem was partially inspired by a song.
