As many may know who listen to my occasional ramblings about my "kids" all of my cats are ferals, and the way I usually feel about animals and my acquiring new pets, is that I let them find me so to speak. Kind of like finding a soul mate, fate as a good deal to do with bringing me and my pets together.
Because I have outdoor cats, during the day the garage is left open a crack to allow the cats to come and go as they please and than presumably they are locked in the garage at night. I say presumably becasue though Taz is usually pretty good and coming in every night, as of late Zeo, his brother has decided he wants to stay in the backyard, and becasue he is too lazy to go out and get in trouble and he generally never acutally leaves the backyard, I let him stay there if he prefers. On occasion I will make him come in to keep his brother company.
Yesterday evening I was closing the garage for the night, and filling the cats dishes, at the time none of them were around, Taz usually waits until later in the night before he comes to the door to be let in, when all of the sudden I start to hear all this noise.
At first I thought maybe it was the wind, becasue sometimes the wind will rattle the garage door, but it was not that windy, and sounded like something was acutally moving around, and I thought maybe Taz was up in the rafters somewhere.
I was looking around trying to figure out what was causing the noise, when all of the sudden as see this tiny little cat dash through the garage, and it was the cute little kitten, but it was really skittish so it found a place to hide in the corner where you can't really see it or get to it becasue it is behind a bunch of other stuff.
I cracked open the garage and went back inside to give it the opportunity to be able to run back out, but by the end of today, the cat is still in the garage, though staying in hiding I can hear it moving around, once I heard it meow.
So if I can get the cat to be more friendly and accustomed to my presence, and less skittish and if it sticks around, I will have a new kitten
